I've spent 8 years obsessing over reverse engineering bottlenecks. This includes building systems for billionaires, in industries like real estate, e-commerce and agrotech. Then for my own consulting clients. The frameworks inside work. But they require something from you: honest assessment of your business and willingness to change how things run. I didn't discover bottlenecks in a book.

Let me tell you how I ended up here.

10 years ago I was the guy who could make anything "magically" happen.

Enter a new industry, people telling you can't; you need ABC… You need experience first.

In reality I was just very eager to challenge the status quo.

I'd just define the outcome I wanted, find leverage, reverse engineer and focus on the one thing that would make winning inevitable, radically ignoring everything else.

I fired all the "inevitable" partners in industries you "can't bypass"; doubling revenue and tripling margins in 5 months. I made sales fully remote in an industry where customers only buy from companies visiting them, while doubling closing rate. (and increasing deal value by 464%).

The pattern was always the same:

Get into a situation where people are in status quo mode; presuming they're on the right path. But when you ask them: What's the outcome you're after? No clear answer. Why is it important for you? No idea. How does doing this help you get that outcome? Why are you so sure this is the most effective way? Because that's what everybody does.

Defining the outcome, creating leverage, then reverse engineer it the simplest way possible.

Success created complexity. Complexity requires systems. Founders spend more of their energy on maintaining these systems. Founders drown in the own complexity they've build and don't have creative energy left to grow the business, blind to the ridiculousness of their own inefficiencies.

After years of frustration with other people's inefficient mess, I started La Lumière Consulting.

Not to sell "automation" or "digital transformation."
